Application Introduction
Flexible gripping is required in many high-end robot applications, such as unordered gripping from a bin or from a rotating conveyor belt. Flexible gripping is also increasingly used in commercial applications, such as agriculture when harvesting fruit, usually in combination with an autonomous vehicle (AMR). To do this, the robot must be connected to a 3D camera, which automatically identifies the part to be gripped and then communicates the gripping position to the robot. The camera can also provide path planning depending on the application.
In today's industrial and commercial applications, the use of flexible gripping applications with robots in combination with 3D cameras is increasing more and more, the advantages are the efficient and flexible automation of complex applications with high precision and in multi-shift operation 24/7.
