Fürth, Germany – August 28, 2026
On August 27, 2026, JAKA Robotics became aware of an announcement by Teradyne Robotics regarding a patent infringement lawsuit filed against JAKA Robotics in Europe, following a request for comment from a Danish journalist regarding the announcement.
JAKA Robotics had not previously received any official notification or communication from Teradyne Robotics or Universal Robots regarding this matter. We are therefore currently seeking further information about the allegations and the specific patents referred to in the announcement.
Prior to entering the European market, JAKA Robotics conducted two detailed external Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) analyses. Neither identified any potential patent infringement involving Universal Robots.
JAKA Robotics takes intellectual property rights seriously and is currently consulting with its legal advisers regarding the matter. At this stage, we do not have sufficient information to comment on the substance of the allegations. We will provide further information when more details are available and the matter has been appropriately reviewed.
JAKA Robotics remains committed to serving its customers, partners and integrators in Europe and to continuing its business activities as normal.
